Through out November and December 2009, Jenelle Carter will be undertaking an evaluation of the Sabina River Action Plan (RAP) through the Healthy Waterways project. This information will be used to gauge changes in landholder knowledge, attitudes and behaviour and the extent to which on ground works have been carried out since the 2002 Sabina RAP.
This evaluation process has been successfully piloted on the Upper Vasse River and Ludlow River and will now be repeated on the Sabina. Interested landholders adjacent to the Sabina River will be visited and a brief walk and talk will be conducted to develop a relationship with the landholder, to record on-ground works, to note any changes in foreshore condition since the 2002 RAP and to create a list of landholders who require on-ground works for riparian management should funding allow.
