Robin has been an active community member of GeoCatch since late 2006. He currently hold the office bearing position of Acting Chair for the Council. Robin began wheat and sheep farming in Mingenew under the tutorlidge of his father who was a conservative in the industry. He later moved into dairying at Busselton getting involved with farm organisation & pasture trials through WA Farmers and the Department of Agriculture & Food. Over many years, running a family business, Robin has fenced & planted back to native vegitation many of his winter wet areas, also attempting to incorporate perennial pastures into his farming management. He has also acted as a partner farm to other young farmers having qualified early on at boarding school in Junior Farmers Leadership. He later became the president of the Vasse Zone of WA Farmers. Robin joined GeoCatch because of his interest in whole of catchment management. He is particularly interested in improving water quality in drains and waterways through good management. He is affiliated with GeoCatch's Rural Drainage project and also has an interest in coastcare. Past interests have seen him as a member of the Water Corporation Community Reference Group investigating the sustainability of the Yarragadee aquifer, and the EII program for the control of nutrient loss into the surrounding water systems, the Bay and due to other farming practices. His skills range from negotiating, budgeting, and human resource management. He is a member of the WA Farmers Federation, a member of the Busselton Naturalist club and an active member of the Uniting Church being Chair of YouthCare (school chaplains).
