Barry has been a community member of GeoCatch since it's inception in 1997 holding the office bearing position of inugrual Chair for the Council. He has been a dairy farmer for over 50 years and as such his dedication has earned him an OAM in 2006 for services to the Dairy Industry, catchment management and water resource management. After gaining his junior certificate level at Wesley College Barry became a member of Rural Youth, and later The Australian Dairy Farmers Federation, The Australian Dairy Research Council, and is now a life member of the WA Farmers Federation. Barry also leads Farmer Study Tours and has only just recently returned from a tour to New Zealand. He has also been a deputy chair for SWCC and a councillor on the Busselton Shire, having been made a Freeman in 2006. As an experienced Chairman and workshop facilitator his skills include mentoring and networking. Barry has in the past been affiliated with GeoCatch's Dairycatch project, and now currently with the Coastal Catchment Initiative, Chairing their steering committee. Barry is also on the WHICHER Water Resource Management committee, the Busselton Wildflower Exibition Committee and still working wih the WA Farmers Federation.
