John is an ex-officio member of GeoCatch representing the Department of Environment and Conservation on the Council. He is currently working as an Assitant Planning Officer for the department. John holds an Advanced Diploma of Land Management and Certificate in Forestry Field Work. John has been employed with DEC (CALM) since 1985 in a variety of natural resource management roles, these being conservation and environmental protection, land management, land-use planning, mining and fire. John's NRM skills range from Pest animal control, reserve management, land use planning, rehabilitation planning and fire management.
